Using the fitted coat from Burda 1/2018 as an example, we will show how to perform contrasting decorative trimmings with a manual daisy seam. In our model, decorative embroidery adorns the neckline, side edge, sleeves and flap pockets.

How to sew basic hand stitches, read on BurdaStyle.ru

You will need:

Threads for embroidery and wool yarn in a contrasting color;
Sewing machine;
Needle for sewing;
Needlework scissors

Step 1

In places where you need to trim with a decorative daisy seam, first lay a straight-seam machine seam with the maximum stitch length that your sewing machine can do.

Step 2

The beginning / end of machine stitches serve as a needle sticking point for the manual daisy seam.
Decorative seam "daisy" is performed on both sides of the machine seam.
Each loop is embroidered manually at a distance of 1.5 cm from the machine line.

Decorative stitches: decorate clothes

If you want to increase the distance between the embroidery loops, start the next “daisy” not in one, but in two or three machine stitches.
