Natural fabrics are very susceptible to high temperatures, so it is easy to damage them with a hot iron. There are several ways to save a spoiled thing.

What kind of fabric is cotton: properties, care, sewing recommendations

Method 1

In half a glass of water, mix 1 tsp. hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of 10% ammonia. Moisten gauze or a cotton pad thoroughly in the solution and gently wipe the stains. Wait a couple of minutes, then rinse the product in cold water.

Method 2

This option is perfect for black natural fabrics. Dilute table vinegar in water (1: 4), soak gauze in the solution and iron the product through it in the steaming mode. Then let the product cool completely and dry, if the stain does not disappear, repeat the procedure.

Method 3

Generously soak a cotton swab in a solution of boric acid and treat the damaged area with it.After the stain disappears, wash the item. The method is suitable for light fabrics.

Method 4

This method also works well for light fabrics. Mix fresh lemon juice (half the fruit is enough) with fine salt until pasty and apply the mixture to the damaged area. Rinse the product thoroughly after processing.

Method 5

Another interesting option for light materials. Apply yogurt or plain yogurt to the stain without additives and dyes, leave overnight, and then wash.

Method 6

Suitable for dark fabrics: prepare a saturated soapy solution from alkaline laundry soap, soak gauze in it and squeeze. Without pressing, run the product through cheesecloth and leave to dry.

Method 1

Mix the soda with water until gruel and apply a thin layer on the damaged area. Wait for it to dry completely, then carefully remove the soda with a soft sponge.

Method 2

In a similar way, the gruel from the peeled onion, crushed in a blender or grated, works. Apply gruel, leave for several hours, and then wash the product.

Synthetics

Synthetic fabrics can cause you a lot of trouble if you have violated the temperature regime, because, as you know, under the influence of high temperatures, synthetic materials begin to melt, and it is impossible to remove such damage physically.

If the damage is not so irreparable, you can fight for the salvation of your favorite thing.

Method 1

Combine hydrogen peroxide and ammonia (5: 1) and apply the mixture on the tan. Leave to dry completely, then rinse in cool water.

Method 2

Mix water and 9% vinegar (1: 1), apply to the stain and sprinkle thickly with salt on top. If possible, lay the product in the sun until completely dry, then wash.

Do not forget, the best way to get rid of Las and tan marks is to iron and not to allow their appearance at all. Our detailed master class will help you with this!
