The first way is the classic one. Using these instructions, you can sew a knee-length skirt from jeans, slightly lower or slightly higher, a straight skirt, slightly narrowed or slightly flared. The length of the skirt depends on your desire. Width - from the cut of jeans and the width of the wedges that you insert into the skirt. A pencil skirt will come out of narrow jeans with narrow wedges (or one at the front), and an A-shaped skirt, or a bell skirt, from flared jeans with wide wedges. For a straight or slightly narrowed model, you can not insert a wedge at the back: the resulting cut will serve as splines. The bottom of the skirt you can hem or leave unprocessed.

So you will need:

- a pair of jeans;

- tailor's scissors;

- pins;

- a spreader;

- sewing machine and thread.

1. Decide on the length of the future skirt, add about 3 cm and cut the jeans trousers to the desired length.

2. Spread the leg leg seams.

3. Spread the middle seams front and back.

4. Lay the parts of the legs on top of each other, trying to form a flat canvas. Please note: if you open the middle seams not too high, you will get a flared skirt. If you tuck the seams higher and make the overlap larger, you can form a narrower skirt.

5. Stitch the seams in the front and back.

6. From the cut off parts of the legs, cut 2 parts for the wedges. If you want to leave the incision in the back as a slot, you will need 1 part.

7. Attach the wedge fabric from the inside to the skirt in front, as shown in the photo. Pin with pins.

8. Stitch the part in front along the surviving lines of the lines of jeans.

9. Repeat for the back of the skirt if you do not want to leave a cut. If you leave a slot, work on the edges of the cut by stitching along the remaining lines of the jeans stitches.

10. From the inside, cut off the excess fabric.

11. Trim the bottom of the skirt.

12. If desired, process the bottom.

2. Jeans skirt - a variant with a wedge with a seam: master class

In general, this option of turning jeans into a skirt is similar to the classic described above. The difference is in the wedges: if you cut them from the leg section with a seam, the skirt is a little different.

You will need:

- a pair of jeans;

- a spreader;

- scissors;

- pins;

- sewing machine and thread.

1. Decide on the length of the skirt and cut the legs.

2. Spread the step seams and partially the middle seams.

3. Cut the wedges from the cut legs, as shown in the photo. Pin one wedge to the skirt in front.

4. Stitch the wedge along the remaining lines of the seams.

5. Make a wedge in the back a little differently - see photo.

6. Stitch the wedge in the back - and you're done.

P.S. The same principle can be sewn from jeans maxi skirt. For her, you will need two pairs of jeans, matching the color. In this case, long wedges are cut from the legs of the second pair of jeans.

3. We make jeans with a slit jeans mini-skirt: a master class

This option is suitable for a mini skirt. It is better to make such a skirt from rather loose jeans with a not too low rise. The bottom of the skirt can be left unprocessed and even specially frayed.

You will need:

- a pair of jeans;

- tailor's scissors;

- a spreader;

- pins;

- sewing machine and thread.

1. Decide on the length of the future skirt and cut the jeans trousers to the appropriate length.

2. Spread the jeans leg leg seams.

3. Spread the middle seam of the jeans front and back. Finish ripping open the seams where they become straight.

4. Put one piece of jeans on the front on the other, as shown in the photo. Try to form the most flat canvas (if necessary, support another middle seam). Chip the pieces of jeans with pins.

5. Do the same with the back of a future skirt.

6. Sew along the sides of the cuts and along the seams of the jeans.

7. From the inside, cut off the excess fabric.

8. Trim the bottom of the skirt with scissors.

9. Tighten the bottom of the skirt. Done!

4. Making a jeans skirt: the easiest workshop

This option is suitable if you do not want to bother with opening seams. In general, he repeats the two previous master classes, the difference is that the seams do not rip apart: the fabric must be carefully cut off next to the seam. More clearly - in the video:

5. We make a skirt from jeans: a master class is more complicated

If you want the appearance of the skirt to not hint that it was redone from jeans, you will have to work longer: you will need to cut off the parts of the jeans, in fact, again cutting out some elements of the skirt. Therefore, jeans are better to take large, for example, men's wide, moreover, large.
