Fashion is an instrument of influence, which has long been successfully proved by ladies with a high position in society.

Clothing draws attention to the one who wears it - under such a slogan is the London exhibition "Womens Fashion Power", or "Fashion and Power." She became the final part of a six-month exhibition at the London Museum of Design, dedicated to the last one and a half centuries of fashion history. The curator of the exposition is Zaha Hadid, a British architect and designer. For stands, their favorite outfits were selected by 26 influential women of the world, including Angela Merkel and Hillary Clinton, who dreams of becoming the first woman president of the United States.

The beautiful half of humanity, even at official events, where the male dress code remains unshakable (formal suits and ties), allows itself small digressions. Princess Monaco Charlene chose 3 looks for the exhibition, created for her by Albert Krimler, designer of the Swiss Fashion House Akris. One of them is combining the traditions and dynamism of modern life: with a sheath dress made of fabric with a print of racing cars, in which she shone in 2012 at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco.

The British tradition of appearing at formal events in hats is readily borrowed by ladies in other countries. And while they do not deny themselves some irony. In the photo below - three creative hats.

Among those who were offered to participate in the exhibition, there were not only women occupying high posts in the state, but also great singers, actresses and, of course, fashion designers. Vivienne Westwood, the famous “hooligan” in the fashion world, introduced the famous punk T-shirt with the inscription “God Save the Queen” and an extravagant women's plaid suit.

As well as the popular T-shirt with the "Climate Revolution" logo from the 2013 spring-summer collection.

As a result, completely different images coexist on the catwalks: Ann Hidalgo, the first woman mayor of Paris, showed classic costumes with a silk blouse, the curator of the exhibition is the world-famous architect Zaha Hadid, a voluminous white wrap from Prada, and orange plastic wings of the charismatic British singer Skin from her 2011 world tour.

The exhibition "Fashion and Power" was a continuation of the exhibition dedicated to the last 150 years of the development of women's fashion. Here you can see many iconic things: from tightening corsets with lacing of the 19th century to the famous LouboutinHeels shoes of today. What attracted the attention of viewers the most? Elsa Schiaparelli's dresses from the 30s, the legendary white tuxedo of Karl Lagerfeld of the 50s, which became a symbol of female emancipation, as well as the light Mansfield costume Margaret Thatcher, with a striped tie and scarf, in which she was on the day of the announcement of the head of the ruling party in 1975 year.

The exhibition reminded of many significant events, and, of course, not only in the fashion world. Many visitors noted an interesting phenomenon: women's dresses became a symbol of certain important public andpolitical change.

The simplicity of classics or extravagance, rigor or ease - the choice of an individual style is important not only for influential people. In ordinary life, he plays an equally important role, is not it?
