We spend hot evenings in anticipation of the new issue of Burda magazine in the company of soft drinks and draw useful knowledge about the selection of models from the new issue to the figure and look for inspiration in the review.
The July issue of the magazine will delight us with a 60s-style mini-collection and a capsule for relaxation, charming models for children and an exclusive Victorian-style blouse. How to wear retro-style clothes can be found in my recent article:

And in this review we will focus on the current implementation of models, recommendations for different figures and look at the modern equipment.
Asymmetric top

This top personally gives me a lasting feeling of deja vu. Asymmetry and drapery, of course, are in fashion, but not so “smoothed out". And thin knitwear often looks cheap and disgustingly behaves in dynamics.
Idea:
sew such a top made of fabric with a taiday print - a hot trend of the season - and wear it surrounded by trendy things.
Victorian Blouse

Victorian blouse is also one of the trends of the season. But the version proposed by the magazine is clearly overloaded: here, multi-layered, and shuttlecocks, and embroidery, and transparency, and even the black color adds drama.
On a note:
such a collar will not decorate a short neck, and the style - a figure with a tummy and unexpressed waist.
Idea:
sew a blouse of cotton sewing, adding rusticity and thereby reducing the degree of solemnity; choose a light color or abandon such an abundance of textures.
Top on the straps

A charming top in straps with an impromptu peplum. It will be good both in the version proposed by the magazine from crumpled fabric, and from sewing, batiste, viscose.
On a note:
such a style will make the outstanding bust overweight, the peplum will add volume to the hips, and with an unexpressed waist it is better to abandon the drawstring.
Idea:
make the straps wider to be able to hide the bra straps.
Silk top

Top with an American armhole, of course, can perfectly “sound” in evening sets or as a lower layer under a blazer or blouseon. In the solo version, you should be careful in picking with fluffy shaped midi skirts so as not to accidentally get an image in the rockabilly style.
On a note:
stand-up collar can visually shorten the neck, the American armhole - to expand the shoulders.
Button Skirt

Actual skirt with an idea borrowed, apparently, from Max Mara. It will be especially good from plain fabric.
Nuance:
the length "somewhere in the knee region" at the moment has lost the palm to the length of a mini or midi.
On a note:
flirty flare parts create additional volume in the waist area, a narrow cut will show the true size of the hips. Contrast buttons will create a vertical image, which means they will be a little slim.
Sundress on the floor

A great option for a summer sundress. To avoid the effect of a woman on a teapot, choose thin plastic easily draped fabrics: staple, cambric, chiffon.
On a note:
a similar style will make a lush bust heavier, emphasize the absence of a waist and broad shoulders.
Idea:
sew from an embroidered cambric, expand the straps for the possibility of wearing clothes.
Long cardigan

Not the most relevant style of a cardigan, especially from smooth thin knitwear. If this is not a beach option, it is better to abandon the ties.
On a note:
The V-neckline is complimentary to most figures, however, a similar cut will emphasize the fragility of the shoulders with wide hips.
Idea:

to sew a cardigan from a fabric with a satin sheen; or sew from crochet lace and get a boho style wrap; or sew a beach version of viscose / mesh; or sew a combination with a fringe option. You can also take a pattern a couple of sizes larger and textured knitwear.
Off Shoulder Dress

The journal option is a case where simplicity is worse than theft. The puffs on the shoulders, the drawstring along the neck and straight fit look very impersonal.
On a note:
the horizontal lines of the “sleeves” and the neck expand the shoulders.
Idea:
to give a characteristic pattern to frill and take the dress in the style of boho, for example. But then it’s easier to use a pattern from another number, having previously extended it to a confident midi:

Dress with an American armhole

An interesting design dress with a wide American armhole, coupled with neckline assemblies and a generally narrow silhouette carries an imprint of retro. The length "somewhere in the knee" is currently not the most relevant, it is better to choose a midi or a confident mini.
On a note:
can increase shoulders and make large breasts overweight.

Wrap blouse

Blouses and wrap dresses are now extremely popular. This asymmetrical blouse with simulated overlap is no exception, especially if you wear it tucked in.
On a note:
A V-neckline will visually lengthen the neck, lighten the chest and narrow the shoulders. Folds in the abdomen will hide a small tummy, but can visually add waist volume.
Idea:
remove the sleeves and get a top for hot days.
