Chanel's new collection was introduced by Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of the Fashion House, on July 7 in Paris at High Fashion Week. It was one of the most striking shows.

The collection was presented under the glass dome of the Grand Palais exhibition complex, which was equipped in the style of a casino in the 1930s. The invited stars are located at the gaming tables. The show was attended by Julianne Moore, Kristen Stewart, Geraldine Chaplin, Vanessa Paradis with her daughter Lily-Ropp Depp and many others.
Karl Langefeld’s most recent collection is based on the iconic Chanel jacket. To create models, the designer used modern digital and laser technologies - jackets were made using 3D printing "Selective Laser Sintering" (Selective Laser Sintering, SLS).
"The idea was to take the most iconic jacket of the twentieth century and create its version of the twenty-first century, which from a technical point of view would be unthinkable in the era of its creation," said Lagerfeld. In his opinion, the future lies behind the SLS method, since it "expands the field of haute couture."
In an interview with France-Press, Lagerfeld said: “High fashion is alive, while keeping up with the times. If she remains a sort of Sleeping Beauty in the“ ivory tower ”, you can forget about it.”
