Almost every modern sewing machine is equipped with a buttonhole function. To master it, you need a special foot, which allows you to easily make loops on any product.
You will need:
✩ Special foot for loops;
✩ Threads for sewing;
✩ Tailor pins;
✩ Spreader;
✩ Aquamarker or tailor's crayon;
✩ Ruler
How to make loops on thin fabrics
Step 1
Mark the stitches on the product.
Step 2
On the sewing machine, set the buttonhole function.
Step 3
In the special hole in the buttonhole foot, place the button and lock it. Thus, you simultaneously set the size of the future loop.
Step 4
Attach the buttonhole foot to the sewing machine. In this case, the part of the foot where the button is fixed is always located behind.
Step 5
Using the special buttonhole lever, lock the position of the foot.
How to process the weld loop manually
Step 6
Place the fabric under the foot. In this case, the needle should be located exactly above the marking of the beginning of the loop. Lower the needle into the fabric and then the presser foot.
Step 7
Sweep the loop. First, the machine will make several stitches in place. Then execute the left side. It will reach the limiter, make a bind, go to the right side and end the loop.At the end, the machine will automatically lock and stop.
Step 8
Follow the rest of the loops in the same way.
Step 9
At the end of the work, remove all the tails to the wrong side and hide them.
Step 10
Use dressmaking pins and a stripper to cut the loop.

Tip: before starting to stitch the loops on the product, practice on a patch of the same fabric using different threads, and if necessary, the settings of your machine.
