Even if you are not fond of embroidery, the works of Japanese craftswoman Yumiko Higuchi will not leave you indifferent.


Not so much is known about Yumiko Higuchi: she was born in 1975, studied at the Tama University of the Arts, and lives in Tokyo. The needlewoman began as a designer of bags, while embroidery was an ordinary hobby, which, however, very quickly developed into a real passion.

The Japanese needlewoman is distinguished by her true talent for mixing different techniques - vestibule seams are adjacent to the satin ones, creating a unique, easily recognizable coloring of her works.

Despite the abundance of a wide variety of projects, Yumiko Higuchi pays great attention to his original passion - bags in all possible forms. That is why among the works of Yumiko you can find so many purses, handbags and clutches, which she sews from previously embroidered fabrics.
